Original Post, March 13, 2020:
Like many of you, the team at MacStadium has been closely monitoring the news around the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. Our commitment to our customers, availability of service we provide, and the health of our employees is paramount. Keeping all of this in mind, MacStadium maintains a robust business continuity strategy to balance these priorities and ensure the continuation of critical services to our customers across the globe.
We do not anticipate any service degradation or disruption during this outbreak.
It is also worth noting that all of our data centers and the services we provide are engineered for resiliency and redundancy by default. In addition, most support functions, such as monitoring, firewall configurations, network maintenance, and even individual server power resets, can be supported remotely. These architecture decisions help us ensure a high level of service for our customers.
Additionally, all of our supply chain partners are fully functioning today, and we maintain high levels of inventory reserves for all critical components to ensure the ability for customers to grow, if necessary.
We will continue to follow the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other health authorities regarding the spread of the virus. All non-essential employees may work from home to practice social distancing and self-quarantine.
As the situation develops, we will post updates on the blog and by email. Please reach out to us at hello@macstadium.com if you have any questions. We’d be happy to address any specific concerns you may have.
